Multiplex 6300
The Mazak Multiplex 6300Y, which is the backbone of DMC’s manufacturing operation, is an exceptional machine tool for production machining. Featuring two 4-jaw 10” chucks mounted on 30 hp spindles and twelve tool stations on either turret, the machine can make quick work out of even the most complex jobs.
Coupled with a GL200F robot gantry that services either spindle, the machine can run uninterrupted, without human intervention, for extended periods of time. Using PCD (diamond) tooling and regular insert change intervals, the Cpk of the machining process is 1.67 or above for typical + .005” tolerance features.
GD&T requirements are controlled by machining in one set-up, thereby eliminating transfer or repositioning errors typically encountered in conventional manufacturing lines.
The Multiplex 6300Y has nearly 17” of swing and can handle parts up to 44 lbs. Total Y-axis travel is 6” for off centerline features and Z-axis per side is over 23”. The versatile Mazatrol conversational programming enables operators to program new jobs on the floor, and CNC programs are backed up and stored in the cloud for redundant security.
